The Net Blackout in History
In the last 48 hours, it has been a reality check to the Senate office, as you may know about the SOPA and PIPA program has been the major topic lately. Let’s just say that some little success has been done in the white house. As the giants like Wikipedia, Riddet, Google news and other had shouted down their sites on Jan. 18th to make a declaration about the SOPA and PIPA program. It made major twist to the game and slow down the SOPA program. However, the PIPA program is on the desk to be voted on Jan. 24, 2012 ( this could change ) if we still keep on fighting for our rights.
Come on, it’s already bad enough to live in this world with all the rules and laws in real life. The internet is the only place as the world can connect, think, feel, act on anyway they want( reasonable of course ) and if they take all that away, it would really suck. Sorry if that offend someone, but it would SUCK. Please don’t read us wrong, yes we do think a program need to be in place for both plans ( piracy is an major issue ). However, not these plans, it’s way off the course.
For the PIPA program, not perfect either, there need to be some adjustments done in the plan. As well. We as nation still need to keep our guards up, if you like to take part to help defend your freedom rights. On the internet ( how wired to say that ), go to Wikipedia:SOPA initiative/Learn more for the best advice on how to take action.
Just to keep the record straight, the SOPA is not over, the Senate (Lamar Smith ) sponsor of the SOPA will push the bill in February. As we mention before, Senate (Patrick Leahy) sponsor for the PIPA bill still plans to vote on January 24.
